The RMC "Scratch-Built" was modeled from an existing engine...

Below are pictures of the engine in "as found" & restored condition. There was no name or clues on anything as to who had originally made it. Someone had put a lot of thought into some features of the engine like the rotary ignition, the gearing & the cam & pushrod. Something neat on the original engine was that it uses turned down screws for the valves. The original carburetor (silver nickel plated ball), was really unique. It had an over-head fuel reservoir, a horseshoe float, a rotary choke & a lot of small complex pieces. It was replaced with a simple carb but the original is restored & safely sitting beside the engine.
